I’m Conservative but… Part II

If you’re still in doubt or even have overt disagreement with me concerning my sentiments about how our government “deported” the Tren De Aragua gang-members, ask yourself this:

  • When was the last time the US “farmed out” the detention of prisoners to a 3rd world country?
  • When was the last time we showcased the demeaning and head-shaving of prisoners on national TV?
  • How can defense lawyers gain access to their clients to prepare for trail?  How can trials even be held?  Are we flying them back one-by-one to stand trial here in the US?  If not, under what legal theory are we holding them in a foreign country and how will they be tried?
  • Why didn’t we simply deport them back to their countries of origin?

And regarding Khalil, the Columbia University student, why did we transport him to Louisiana?  He committed his acts in New York.  I can tell you why.  It was an act of retaliation and punishment in order to inconvenience his legal council, and also to separate him from his 8-month pregnant wife in New York.

Really?  Is this who we have become, just because we now have some power?  Wonder no more how someone gets “radicalized.”

Anyone who knows me knows there is no bigger patriot, but I have to be honest and say I’m ashamed of my country right now.  We have lectured and shamed others about the supposed sanctity of the, “rule of law” and now when we should be demonstrating to the world how a “nation of laws” actually functions, we betray our own legitimacy.

Since first being politically aware, this is the first time I have seen emotion and feelings overcome the reason and logic of my conservative brethren.  I guess the days of deriding liberals for yielding to their emotions are gone when we have done just that.

I’ll take the bait, and set you straight! Look at that, I’m a poet and didn’t even realize it

First off: Your position points out an unsolvable dilemma…a catch-22 if you will. Your argument rest solely on the idea that our justice system is flawless, and by taking the high road, true justice will prevail. It will not, because our justice system has been hijacked by anti-constitutionalists, and far left leaders have packed the court with activist judges in order to assure “fairness” for all (except the victim). In the current situation, providing “fair” trials for each individual would take years and millions (if not billions) of dollars of taxpayer funded defenses, as one by one, each thug’s trial gets delayed over and over (because of the lack of adequate legal representation), followed by “neo-progressive” judges who never met a non-white, minority criminal whose crimes were brought about by (not the individual) the “real” perpetrator: white male suprematism. Hence, nearly all of these thugs will eventually be released back into the American public within the next 4 years – or immediately following the end of Trump’s term, as they use loopholes and tricks to “run out the clock”. “Free” trials for known minority felons in a country that is not theirs, is a multi-billion dollar sinkhole for U.S. taxpayers to try and fill, with the end result of the criminals being back on the street resorting to what they do best – committing heinous crimes as they set up their own little “government within a government”, and we are back to phase one – trying to arrest these same criminals. Wash and repeat.

Secondly, these same thugs…if returned to the land from whence they came…will rejoin cartels and gangs in that country where an overwhelmed government with inadequate leadership and resources will simply be a “free pass” to the hardened criminals who pay no attention to the rule of law, regardless of the country they are in. The “super prison” in El Salvador is an emergency setup (because of the history of dealing with unredeemable thugs) to deal with the worst of the worst criminals from countries who cannot handle their judicial process in their crime riddled home countries, where drug cartels are better armed, then the police and militaries of said countries. Tren De Aragua is a criminal organization that formed in a Venezuelan prison, but has spread throughout all of Latin America, wreaking death and destruction…almost without any resistance. They are a terrorist organization – not just to the U.S., but all of Central America, and northern South America. And we have declared war on terrorism. Not to mention, the decision by Trump was an astronomical economic savings.

Thirdly, as to the Obama appointed District judge James Boasberg (known as “Jeb” by his friends and peers), who tried to stop the deportation in midair, poses many problems. First, he is NOT an “expert”, who understands the slightest issues of international travel within tightly controlled airspace. Large commercial planes in the air are restricted to fly in corridors controlled by non-political technical experts on the ground. Many things must be taken into consideration. It’s not like making a U-turn in a car on a highway. As one person brought up, the airplane in question had already used up more than half it’s fuel when told to “turn around” by a bozo in a leather easy chair in front of a fireplace, while sipping top shelf bourbon. This little fuel issue never crossed the mind of a rogue partisan judge who simply has a hard on for our President, with an ulterior motive of making his wife and daughter happy. His wife is a die-hard hater of Trump and could be the poster child for a person with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), is a founder of abortion clinics and has used Doug Emhoff as one of her supporters and speakers at her abortion events. Jeb’s wife and Emhoff are closely entwined with the ultra-progressive movement. Jeb’s daughter is an activist attorney who has spent her career giving legal advice to illegal immigrants on – for lack of a better term, “how to beat the system”, and works tirelessly to stop all attempts at restricting immigration – a true “open border nutjob”. Regardless, it is safe to assume that ole Jeb (who a few weeks ago publically announced that the “Laken Riley Act was a terrible law”) has a dog in the fight that has nothing to do with the protection of the country or American citizens. He only cares about the protection of non-citizen murdering / raping thugs because he hates Trump with a passion that borders mental illness.

Regardless, I understand your position that we should “follow the rule of law” to its minutest detail; however, there’s a rogue new “rule of law” set up by the progressive movement to finagle ways around the laws’ original intentions. In fact, the left has perfected using the justice system as a weapon against moral, law-abiding citizens as they march forward to destroy America…or at least it’s founding ideals.

Abraham Lincoln and FDR faced the same type of issues during wartime (and we are at war with terrorism). Abe’s aversion to habeas corpus, and FDR’s aversion to fair trials for everyone…although FDR’s move to imprison Japanese who were American citizens, was far, far worse than Trump’s getting rid of non-citizen terrorists hiding in our country.

Come on back to the good side Bob

Best regards, your conservative friend, Ric

    • Ric, you ignorant slut.
      1. Taking the hi-road means following the law, even when it is inconvenient, overwhelming and expensive. We could have just as easily taken them all back to their countries of origin, problem solved and that would have been legal and just. Instead, by taking them to El Salvador, we have created our own set of additional problems and now after doing that, you want to use those self-inflicted issues as a cudgel, (look it up) to excuse our actions, nice try, no. All of the accusations about who appointed what judge and the insinuation that their politics dictate their judicial opinions is a flaccid, (I know you’re familiar with this word..) argument and without proof, asserting integrity accusations against them that you cannot substantiate. Look, this isn’t difficult to understand, even you should be able to get it so let me try, once again, and I’ll type R-E-A-L S-L-O-W

Conservatives are allowing their emotions to over-ride their logic. Notice the media frenzy, the demeaning pics, the public shaving of heads, etc., this isn’t to appeal to your reason and logic, this is meant to appeal to your emotions, and it’s working. Has any journalist attempted to interview any single member of this group? By muting their voices, showing them in mass and using buzz-words like “gang-bangers”, thugs, murderers etc. we successfully dehumanize them and this makes it easy to disregard their basic human rights. Step back and ask yourself, when is the last time something, anything like this has happened in the USA? Awaken, this ain’t hard. This is no Master-Class on Aristotelian theory, this is easy to see once the, “scales fell from his eyes and he received his sight”, Acts 9: 18

I might be an ignorant slut, but overwhelming common sense is my cross to bear.
Lincoln halted habeas corpus and took other unconstitutional actions because he was living in reality, exigencies (look it up…lol) that require decisive action in the present. Was Lincoln driven by emotion and lack of compassion? Was his moral compass broken? You be the judge.

      • Well at least we got the ignorant slut part right. As far as you apparent goal of ..”overwhelming common-sense..”, mission accomplished, you did “overwhelm it with emotional drivel. Comparing Trump to Lincoln is a stretch, but I fully understand the need for that stretch; a stretch in logic, a stretch in equal comparatives, and a stretch in making your point, unsuccessfully I’m afraid however thanks for playing!

Bob, Bob, Bob…what happened? Did you fall off your bike and hit your head? Stop feeding from the trough of MSNBC and the gals on The View…lol

When Lincoln suspended habeas corpus, he removed the right for a captured/arrested enemy (who were American citizens BTW) to be brought before a judge to decide if they were guilty or not. Why? Because as I pointed out earlier, “exigencies require decisive action during periods of urgency” and for the safety of the country. Was he right by the “rule of law”? Nope. Did it help to save the country because of it? Yup. Is there ever a valid reason to suspend habeas corpus? I believe so…as it pertains to the safety of our citizens.

We are in a similar, yet differing situation today than in Lincoln’s time, in which we are in a declared war against terrorism, rather than a civil war. And Tren de Araqua has been declared a terrorist organization…albeit, not an Islamic one that we typically think of as terrorist organizations.

The response by President Trump is due to the previous administration’s decision to open the border and let those terrorists into our neighborhoods. And if you put the process of extrication into the hands of leftist judges, you have basically given any federal judge (no matter how minor), to override the President of the United States, based on a political motive. There will be no extrication. Those appointed judges were not voted into office by the people of the U.S., and were typically appointed for straight forward political reasons; hence, “packing the court before leaving office to ensure one’s political desires are carried out after leaving office”. Those unelected government officials…”appointees”, should not be able to ride shotgun on an elected President and have power over an elected President’s administration as if he or she is above the President. They should be able to disagree publicly, but not have the power to override POTUS.

You are arguing from a theoretical standpoint, while I am arguing on a realistic standpoint. I would argue that even Aristotle would see the reality behind the current situation and agree with me. I’d agree with you, but then there’d be two people wrong instead of just one…lol

      • Again, not hard, and this will be the last written entry. Forget all of the BS about Lincoln, judges etc. and simply consider this. We could have and should have simply deported them to their country’s of origin. That would have checked all the boxes in legal as well as moral terms. Instead, the administration acted “ultra vires”, (you will have to look this one up) and imparted on these people extrajudicial, (another look-up for you..) consequences never before used in US history. I know your natural inclination is to oppose me, but just set aside the Kool-Aid for a minute and wipe that grape-stained-mustache from your face and explain the media shaming, foreign transfer, head-shaving etc. Is this the image of todays USA? Is this the imagery of reason and logic?
